Carly Pearce Prophesies Her Future in a Letter to Herself at 14
I’ll never forget the first time I met Carly Pearce. It was during her radio tour in early March of 2017. She played for a few of us in the Coyote Performance room and by the time she finished, she had made fans out of all of us. When I tell you it was one of the most impressive performances I’ve ever witnessed in that room, believe me.
Everyone who comes on radio tour is good, but every once in a while you get someone who’s beyond that. They’re exceptional. Carly falls into the latter category.
We knew that she was destined for great things, and apparently, so did a young Carly.
In a recent Instagram post, country singer Carly Pearce shared a video of herself reading a letter she wrote to her 14-year-old self, where she made a bold prediction about her future. In the letter, Pearce wrote, “Who knows what I will be doing when I open this letter. Hopefully, I’ll be on my way to being a famous recording artist in Nashville.”
Pearce has now become a successful country singer, and her prediction has come true. She has released multiple studio albums, she recently won a Grammy, she’s won a CMT Music Award, and has been nominated for multiple other awards.
The clip of Pearce reading the letter is part of a special program called “CMT Defining: Carly Pearce,” which provides a behind-the-scenes look at her life and career. The show gives viewers an intimate look at the rising star.
Pearce’s letter to herself serves as an inspiration to anyone who has big dreams and aspirations. It’s a reminder to keep believing in oneself and to work hard towards achieving those goals, no matter how impossible they may seem.
