Scotty McCreery Learns to Say ‘No’
Exciting news – country music star Scotty McCreery is coming to the Sunset Station on April 22nd! Don’t miss out on this amazing concert – get your tickets now at HERE before they sell out.
Speaking of Scotty, the country singer has learned a valuable lesson since becoming a dad to his baby boy Merrick “Avery” with his wife Gabi in October 2022. According to McCreery, the power of saying ‘no’ has become increasingly important to him in order to balance his career and family life.
As a father, he has come to the realization that he cannot say ‘yes’ to everything and must make time for his family, especially his son. McCreery stated, “I’m still working my tail off, but we’re not saying ‘yes’ to everything like I always used to do. I gotta have time with my kid, I gotta have time with my family. So, that has changed a lot.”
Many parents can relate to the struggle of balancing work and family life, and McCreery’s experience serves as a reminder of the importance of setting boundaries and prioritizing time with loved ones.

An Unreal Voice: Tyler Braden Performs At Gilley's
Tyler Braden joined the plethora of artists — like Luke Combs, Carly Pearce and Mitchell Tenpenny — to have performed on the Gilley’s stage.
On Monday, Feb. 20, Braden performed for 107.9 Coyote Country‘s free listener appreciation show. Braden’s amazing voice sounded like a live-studio recording as he played an acoustic set for the Las Vegas crowd.
Braden performed a collection of his songs accompanied by his rich, rugged voice and his guitar. Despite only being armed with his raw talent and guitar, his voice and songs engulfed the Gilley’s room in emotions and overall love for the art of country music.
People were dancing and a few even cried listening to the real and rustic lyrics of Braden’s songs. Sometimes you just listen to music. And other times, you feel the music within your soul. This was one of those occasions.
Growing up in Slapout, Alabama, Tyler Braden is country music to the core. From being a firefighter to now a country musician, his story pulsates with grit and triumph.
“He spent much of his life blending these early influences to craft a sound all his own. His early twenties saw him playing local shows and touring the Southeast while serving as a first responder in Montgomery, AL. A gig in Music City inspired his move north, and Braden continued firefighting in the suburbs of Nashville while preparing to take his music career to the next level,” his biography states.
His path was paved for him when he played the Whiskey Jam concert series in 2017. Now, he has over 160 million streams to his name with a resume that included working with artists like Brantley Gilbert, Brooks & Dunn and more.
If you missed his show at Gilley’s, check out the photos that we took! Our next listener appreciation show is with Conner Smith on March 27 at Gilley’s! We hope to see you there.
