The Happiest Country in the World… Isn’t the US
The Happiest Country in the World… Isn’t the US
According to Gallup’s World Happiness Report, Finland has once again secured the top spot as the world’s happiest country for the sixth consecutive year. The report evaluates the quality of life of citizens in over 130 countries to determine overall happiness levels. Denmark and Iceland follow closely in second and third place, respectively.
It is interesting to note that five of the top seven happiest countries are Nordic countries, including Finland, Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, and Norway. Other countries in the top ten include Israel, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Luxembourg, and New Zealand.
The United States ranks at #15 out of 137 countries, placing just below Canada and Ireland and ahead of Germany and Belgium. While this may not be at the top of the list, it is still a relatively good ranking.
On the other end of the spectrum, Afghanistan, Lebanon, and Sierra Leone are the countries where people are least satisfied with their lives. They ranked below Zimbabwe, Congo, Botswana, Malawi, Comoros, Tanzania, Zambia, Madagascar, and India.
In conclusion, despite the recent chaos in America and around the world, people in many countries are still relatively happy with their lives, and the report provides insights into the countries where happiness levels are the highest and the lowest.
