Nintendo Celebrates Mario Day with Discounted Games
Nintendo is getting ready to celebrate Mario Day on March 10th, also known as MAR10. To mark the occasion, the company has announced a celebratory sale with discounts on various Mario games. The sale will be split into two “waves” and will take place on the Nintendo eShop in North America from March 10th to April 7th.
The first wave will run from March 10th to March 23rd and will offer discounts on titles such as Mario Party Superstars, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze, Yoshi’s Crafted World, and Luigi’s Mansion 3. The second wave will take place from March 24th to April 7th and will include savings on Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Odyssey, New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe, Super Mario Maker 2, and Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury.
Each of these titles will be available for $39.99 during the sale period, representing a $20 discount. While the sale has only been confirmed for North America at this time, it’s likely that the discounts will be available in other regions soon. If the same discount applies in Europe, customers can expect the games to be sold for around £30 or $40.
In addition to the eShop sale, Nintendo has also announced a “Mario & Friends” retail sale that will take place from March 5th to March 11th. While the company has not disclosed which stores will be involved in the sale, customers can expect to see discounts on many of the games included in the eShop sale, as well as $40 off Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit.
Mario Day is a significant event for Nintendo, as it celebrates the beloved character that has been a staple of the company’s games for decades. The celebratory sale is an opportunity for fans to save on their favorite Mario titles and enjoy some classic gameplay. With discounts available both in the eShop and at select retail locations, there’s never been a better time to stock up on Mario games and relive the nostalgia of the early days of gaming.
