Luke Combs told us earlier this week (2/22) that he has gotten to collaborate with non-country artists, but he's not sure that's his thing. "I've been approached more than a few times. I don't know; it's just like I feel like to me, country music is enough. I don't want to be a pop star. I love our genre, and I love writing country songs with my songwriting buddies and singing them with the guys that I like to make records with."

He added, "I am not chasing anything; I'm not chasing fame or notoriety or money. If a really amazing collaboration came along, I would want it to be on a country song. I would want somebody to do a country song with me. I wouldn't want to go do a pop song with somebody else just because it would be good for my career. I've never made decisions based on that."

Combs recently announced that he would release a new album on March 24, 2023. The album will be out just before his stadium tour, which kicks off on April 1. The new project will have 18 songs on it. Luke posted the news on his Instagram, writing, "New album. 18 songs. March 24." Fans loved the news, and many commented on the post, including one who wrote, "18 BRAND NEW songs… and right before the stadium tour starts? (fire emoji)." Another fan commented, "Ahhhhhhhh can't wait." One more fan said, "Sooo excited."

In 2003 Shania Twain played the Halftime show at the Super Bowl, and since then, country music has not been part of the Super Bowl halftime show. While many country stars, including Carrie Underwood, Faith Hill, Eric Church, and Luke Bryan, have performed the National Anthem at the Super Bowl, the Halftime show has excluded country stars for the most part.

So here's a look at the country superstars that would be amazing at Halftime in the future.

In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
