Chris Young loves Christmas. In 2016 he released his Christmas album, It Must Be Christmas. The album features such holiday classics as "Holly Jolly Christmas, "Silent Night (featuring Boyz II Men)," "The Christmas Song," "Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas," "The First Noel (featuring Brad Paisley)," "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)," "It Must Be Christmas," and "I'll Be Home For Christmas." It also featured an original Christmas song Young co-wrote called "Under The Weather."

The chorus of the original song "Under The Weather" includes the lyrics, "Baby, it's cold outside, you and I ain't gotta go nowhere / I could start a fire, lay beside you all night right here / The snow's comin' down and it won't be the only thing fallin' / So let's stay here together under the weather / Yeah, under the weather, under the weather."

Chris also did a duet with Alan Jackson on his Christmas album called "There's A New Kid In Town," which was co-written by Country Music Hall of Fame member, the late Keith Whitley along with Don Cook and Curly Putman.

The native Tennessean told us a few years back of the Christmas season, "It's one of those things that's a little bit infectious, you know, you see everybody kind of getting more excited about being home with their family and closing the year out, I just think there are so many things that are magical about it."

Young also likes to see the sights when the holidays roll around each year, "There's so many things about Christmas time that make it one of my favorite times of the year, but you know, not just the weather but the Christmas lights. There's just something about, you know, that time of year, and there's just such cool energy with it."

Here are our 25 favorite country music Christmas songs. We’ve included some newer ones, so hopefully you’ll find some new favorites for your next holiday gathering!
