Al Michaels Is Getting Bodied For Comment About Taylor Swift During TNF
During Thursday Night Football, Al Michaels showed how out of touch he is by attacking Taylor Swift’s fans, also known as Swifties, who is also one of music’s most vocal fanbases.
Swift teased her 10-minute “movie” “Midnights” during the third quarter of the Saints vs. Cardinals game on Amazon Prime. Michaels messed up when he suggested only teenage girls like Swift’s music.
Several fans took to Twitter to voice their opinions of Michaels’ comments, “Al Michaels thinking Taylor Swift is most popular among teenage girls doesn’t know we’re all 30 now,” tweeted @kkristianrob.
@mikegolicjr tweeted, “AL THERE ARE PLENTY OF SONS OVER THE MOON AS WELL OK.” Actually, according to Audiense, just 18.8% of Swift’s followers are teenagers, with nearly half of her fan base being men (55.28 percent of Swift’s fans are women, compared to 44.72 percent of men) (between 13-17).
What did you think of Taylor’s tease of “Midnights” during Thursday Night Football? Should she have teased it differently? Share your thoughts.
