Carly Pearce snapped back at a fan on Twitter who criticized her for sharing her personal journey through her 2020 divorce from Michael Ray in songs on her album 29: Written In Stone and dividing fans.

The Twitter user named Donna wrote, "@carlypearce needs to reread this over and over until she understands therapy is ok vs. seeking social attention. All the division she has caused among the country family and fans over this is so sad. There's 3 sides to every story. Hers, his, and the truth. (broken heart emoji)." She also posted the words, "Your personal problems require solutions, not social attention."

Carly responded to the post, "Oh Donna, it's sad that you're twisting my way of getting through the hardest season of my life for something negative. I welcome you to come to any of my shows and see the impact this album has made on people going through hard things. I'll even leave you a ticket! (heart emoji)."

Pearce's 29 EP album was released in February of 2021. At the time before release, she told us of the album, "I think it's kind of that point in your life where you have a lot of life experience and have been through things, but also, you're still young and have wonder about the world."

She also discussed the title track. "This song, for me, was me just owning a year that was difficult and embarrassing for me in some ways, just like we all have embarrassing moments in life, and trying to take it for what it is, just a moment that strength will come from, and wisdom will come from, and good will come from, and being happy with that."

Carly announced her third studio full album, 29: Written In Stone, in August 2021 with a September release.

She noted at the time, "So much has happened to me in the last year. The more my life unraveled, the more the songs lifted me up. As the smoke cleared, and some unbelievable things started happening, I was writing even more truth and getting lifted up even higher – and I realized, as much as 29 captured a moment, I wasn't done with the story."

Country stars walked the red carpet in Nashville last night (10/12) for the 2022 CMT Artists of the Year event, which will air on CMT on Friday (10/14).

Five country stars were honored with the Artist of the Year title: Luke Combs, Kane Brown, Walker Hayes, Carly Pearce, and Cody Johnson and all the stars were on the carpet except for Luke Combs, whose wife Nicole said on her Insta stories yesterday that she hadn't been online at all because "Tex (their baby) is going through something." She didn't share any further information.

Kane Brown and his wife, Katelyn, celebrated their 4th wedding anniversary on the red carpet. Katelyn shared a fun getting ready video clip on her Insta stories yesterday as several people helped the couple her "Glammed up" for the event.

Here's a look at country stars on the latest CMT red carpet.
