Miranda Lambert will receive a special honor from her home state of Texas, and she shared details and reacted to being a 2023 honoree of the Texas Medal Of Arts Awards on Instagram.

Miranda posted images from the award announcement, writing, "I got my start in Texas, and my honky tonk-loving heart will always carry a piece of it with me wherever I go. Thank you for this honor and for being there since the beginning, Texas. Love y'all! #ArtCanTexas @txculturaltrust."

Fans reacted to Lambert's latest honor. One wrote, "Congratulations, Miranda, well deserved." Another fan commented, "Wow, girl, what an honor, and you very much deserve it! Love ya!" One more fan stated, "Talent and heart the size of Texas! Congratulations on this honor as well! Very very deserved!."

Fellow 2023 honorees include actor Luke Wilson, as well as creator and actor of Yellowstone, and 1883, Taylor Sheridan.

According to their website, in 1995, The Texas Cultural Trust was established to heighten awareness of art and culture in Texas and increase support for the arts as essential to improving public education and stimulating economic growth.

Since 2001, the TMAA have celebrated 118 Texas leaders and luminaries who have achieved excellence through their creative talents and those whose generosity has opened doors to artistic opportunity for Texans of all ages. As the signature fundraising event of the Texas Cultural Trust, the two-day affair is a star-studded celebration that spotlights the power of the arts to not only improve children's education, stimulate the economy, improve health and wellbeing, but also to keep us connected, engaged, inspired, and to preserve the unique and proud culture of Texas.

Past TMAA honorees have included Jamie Foxx, Matthew McConaughey, Eva Longoria, Anheuser-Busch, Margaret McDermott, Tommy Lee Jones, Bob Schieffer, Debbie Allen, ZZ Top, Willie Nelson, Boz Scaggs, Dan Rather, Walter Cronkite, Lyle Lovett, and more.

Miranda Lambert is one of country music’s most enduring stars. For over 15 years, she’s consistently knocked out hit singles on the country charts, starting with “Kerosene” in 2005 all the way up through this year’s “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home).” And she's got a lot of range: “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” – a dance-floor friendly duet with pop singer Elle King – came out within months of her acoustic trio album with Jack Ingram and Jon Randall. We listened to songs from that album (’The Marfa Tapes’), her albums with her *other* trio, the Pistol Annies, her collaborations with other artists, and – of course – her solo albums to come up with this list of her best songs ever, in honor of her 38th birthday.
