Garth Brooks' new bar in Nashville called "Friends In Low Places" will have its own police substation. The construction of a new Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) substation will be located on Lower Broadway. The station will be developed by Brooks at no cost to Metro taxpayers.

In a press release, Nashville Mayor John Cooper said, "I commend Garth Brooks for stepping up to help make Lower Broadway safer and more enjoyable for everyone. These additional resources will add new tools to reduce traffic and improve community safety downtown while continuing to prioritize other initiatives for neighborhoods and families throughout Davidson County."

In April, Brooks first announced his plans to open a new entertainment concept and bar in Nashville at 411 Broadway. The bar is in a 3-story, 40,000+ square foot property he purchased in December 2021.

There is no official word on when Garth's bar and the police substation will open.

Garth Brooks celebrates his 58th birthday today. Busier now more than ever, we take a look at the last year in the country superstar's life.
