Carrie Underwood has released an alternate version of her video for "Ghost Story,"  and the new version features footnotes about the video.

Carrie said in a footnote, "We had a lot of fun including photos from past album eras." The footnotes reveal that the photos are from "Smoke Break, "Two Black Cadillacs," "Blown Away," and "Cry Pretty."

The video was filmed in downtown Los Angeles in a "fantastic movie palace" built during the great depression. Underwood said in the footnotes, "I'm so excited to show a different side of myself and my love of different types of music. I always try to play new things and try different sounds, and we were able to do that with this album."

The new video reveals that the video was inspired partly by 2001's Moulin Rouge, which starred Nicole Kidman.

Carrie said of her work on the trapeze, "The trapeze scene was super fun but surprisingly hard! It may not look difficult, but it was." The director noted that In the theater during the filming of the video, everyone clapped and cheered when she completed each trapeze scene.
