We've heard it all. Whether it's "pain at the pump," "prices are siphoning are wallets," and the array of catch phrases that come with rising gas prices, one thing is certain.
Gas is just too expensive. But, we have good news for you.
The Vegas Golden Knights' foundation and its Alumni Association teamed up with Smith's Food and Drug Stores to host their "Knight Up, Gas Up" event on Thursday, June 16.
According to the team's Twitter account, the first 800 cars at Smith's Marketplace in Skye Canyon will receive $50 in FREE gas.
This event will give away a total of $40,000 in free gas, according to an article by the NHL.
Along with the giveaway, the Skye Canyon Smith's location will also lower their gas prices by about 20 cents all day on Thursday, June 16 and Friday, June 17.
Fans will also have the chance to meet the team's mascot, Chance, and select players from the Golden Knights on Thursday morning. Deryk Engelland from the VGK Alumni Association will also be attendance at the "Knight Up, Gas Up" event.
However, if you're looking to get some free gas then you better run to your car now. According to a report by 8 News Now, drivers started lining up around 2 a.m. to be part of the cohort who receives free gas.
The address for the participating Smith's location is 9710 W Skye Canyon Park Drive in Las Vegas, and the event began at 8 a.m. Participants are limited to one visit.
This isn't the first time that the Golden Knights have done a gas giveaway. According to the NHL, The team previously partnered with Smith's for a gas giveaway event in April as part of the team's Fan Appreciation Week.

According to the study, the 10 LEAST fun states are: West Virginia, Mississippi, Delaware, Rhode Island, Arkansas, Vermont, Alabama, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Kentucky. (Of course, not everyone's idea of "fun" is the same . . . that said, West Virginia seems like a hard sell across the board.)
However, I've been to Delaware before. And let me say this, it was actually fun...
And let's say the the top #1 answer surprise us because it wasn't Nevada. We may be bias because simply, we think it's the best state (I mean, duh!).
Our city truly has everything a person could want: Activities surrounding any type of vices, family friendly activities, amusement parks, amazing food, rich diversity, art and so much more.

Well, we do know it as the "Sunshine State", so with the mikes of beaches in this southern state and places to actually vacation, the state of Florida some how ends up above Nevada and comes in at #2 on the list!
