Kelsea Ballerini Will Join Marvel Actor To Host 2022 CMT Music Awards

Kelsea Ballerini and actor Anthony Mackie will be hosting the 2022 CMT Music Awards, which will air on CBS for the first time on April 11, 2022.

This marks Ballerini’s second time as co-host after sharing duties with Kane Brown in 2021.

Mackie is best known for his role as Sam Wilson/The Falcon in Marvel movies including Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, in addition to the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Spoiler alert: in that series, Sam Wilson takes on the mantle of Captain America, and will be starring in the fourth Captain America film.

The CMT Music Awards is set to air live from Nashville on Monday, April 11, 8-11 p.m. ET (delayed PT). It also will be available to stream live and on-demand on Paramount+.
