Golden Knights POSSIBLE Reunion With Fleury
Maybe these are just rumors or MAYBE they are true? This could be awesome for Golden Knights fans.
He is/was a fan favorite since day one with our hockey team. I mean, seriously, look at this post from Jeff & Aimee in the Morning from back in the summer of 2018.
And then, on February 15th, 2022, our midday host Shawn Stevens is still talking about the former Golden Knights’ goaltender in a text message featuring both Jeff & Aimee.
So to say the man is beloved by this entire city is absolutely an understatement. Fans LOVE Fleury. The news of the trade had fans perplexed and angry.
Mr. Walsh, please convey to Flower that so much of the fan base is *absolutely* sickened. The front office has absolutely turned my stomach and I’m not sure I’m moving forward as a @GoldenKnights fan. The trade is bad enough, but how it was done is the last straw.

I get hockey is a business and it’s all about getting the cup, however have some damn class while doing it! Vegas definitely sucks for what they did to Fleury! Well I guess it’s time to stop watching VGK play. #BoycottVGK #FleuryDeservesBetter #HaveSomeClass pic.twitter.com/WrbdqDKkA8

Even fans of other teams didn’t truly understand the trade that happened back in July of this past year.
Vegas has totally disrespected a Hall of Famer. One more year of playing with 2 other HOF stars and making one more Cup run would be the best ending. That's just my take. As a Hawks fan, it would be sad to not see him play, but I, for one, would respect his wishes if he retired

Rumors began floating around about a possible reunion that would be Fleury back to Las Vegas after the injury of Robin Lehner. Here’s the initial story that got Golden Knights fans really excited about the possibility.
Ice Breakers 🧊🏒 With Robin Lehner injured, team sources say Vegas @GoldenKnights expressed interest in a Marc-Andre Fleury reunion.

When asked about the rumors, Golden Knights General Manager, Kelly McCrimmon, said that “there is absolutely no credence to that rumor at all.” Which pretty much makes it seem like reuniting the reigning Vezina Trophy winner to his former team is not going to happen.
GM Kelly McCrimmon on a potential Marc-Andre Fleury reunion: “There is absolutely no credence to that rumor at all. I wouldn’t normally speak (officially) on such things, but there will be so much racket about this, it’s important to let people know that’s not going to happen.”

In four seasons with Vegas, Fleury appeared in 192 games and posted a 117-60-14 record with a .917 save percentage. In 36 games with the Blackhawks this season (as of February 15), he has a record of 16-17-3 with a .910 save rate.
With that being said, fans aren’t too happy with the organization coming out and saying the trade is “not going to happen.”
#VGK owners don't want Marc Andre-Fleury back, per their announcement this afternoon. They can never take our Flower out of our hearts. 🏒🏒🏒🏒🏒

One fan even offered up a poll to fans! Even though the choices aren’t terrible fair!
If you’re Marc-Andre Fleury, do you even consider going back to Vegas after that ugly public breakup? If you’re in the Vegas front office, do you even consider asking him to after you caused it? 😏

Another name being thrown around by Frank Seravalli as a possible addition to the Golden Knights is Alexandar Georgiev of the New York Rangers.
