Washington Football Team Gets New Name!
What do we think about it? Sound off in the comments!
Back in 2020, the then Washington Redskins changed their name after pushback due to the racial insensitivity of the name toward Native American culture. They became “The Washington Football Team” and stayed that way for two seasons, the first of which they won the NFC East and went to the playoffs only to lose to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers led by Tom Brady.
After a disappointing finish to the 2021-2022 regular season, finishing 7-10 missing out on the playoffs, the team announced its complete rebrand on February 2nd of 2022.
One legacy. One unified future.
