While Morgan Wallen didn't mention the CMA Awards specifically, he did seem to allude to the fact that he didn't win the "Album of the Year" honor, which he was nominated (although he was not allowed to attend the show).

Morgan was nominated for his double album Dangerous, an award that went to Chris Stapleton for Starting Over.

Wallen wrote on Twitter to his fans on Wednesday night (11/10), "I wake up every morning and thank the Lord for my blessings. Tomorrow morning will be no different. I love y’all."

As we reported, Sarah Trahern, CEO of the Country Music Association said in a statement that because of Wallen's racial slur in February, "The man would not be allowed, but the music and the people who were part of it [songwriters and producers] could be eligible. That made his music eligible in five categories, and ultimately, he was nominated in one."

She added at the time, "This is the first time in the history of the CMA, to my knowledge, anyone has ever been disqualified for conduct."

Wallen won the CMA for New Artist in 2020.
