A woman accused of sparking one of the California wildfires has pleaded not guilty to arson charges - and wait until you hear her excuse.
30-year-old Alexandra Souverneva had been arrested after she was found carrying a lighter near the scene of the Fawn Fire in NoCal.
She told authorities she had the lighter because she was trying to boil drinking water that was tainted with bear urine.
Attorneys say Souverna's actions were related to drug abuse or a mental health crisis. She's currently behind bars and due back in court next week.
The Fawn Fire has burned more than 8,500 acres and destroyed 185 structures.
Do you think the fire was sparked accidentally, or was it a work of arson?
