Several country superstars including Alan Jackson, Darius Rucker, Reba, Garth Brooks, George Strait, Jimmie Allen, Lee Ann Womack, Luke Combs, Mickey Guyton, and Wynonna, will pay tribute to the late Carley Pride on “CMT GIANTS: Charley Pride.”

The special will celebrate the life and legacy of trailblazing country music titan Charley Pride. The star-packed, 90-minute event premieres Wednesday, August 25th at 9 pm ET/8 pm CT on CMT.

Pride's widow Rozene Pride said, “I am delighted to have so many giants in the business celebrate the legacy of Pride. He would have been so happy to see the artists give so generously of their time and talent honoring him. This truly is a testament to the impact that he had on the country music community for so many years.”

Others on the special include Charley's son Dion Pride, Gladys Knight, Neal McCoy, Nolan Ryan, Ronnie Milsap, as well as his wife Rozene Pride, to share their memories and reflect on Charley’s lasting legacy, which is blended alongside rare archival photos, interviews, and performances, with clips and commentary from Charley Pride himself.

The Country Music Hall of Famer died of COVID-19 in December 2020.
