The company says the popular SUVs were manufactured with a faulty cross-axis ball joint, which can cause a link in the rear suspension to break -- which can affect a driver's control over the vehicle.
If your Explorer is making a "clunking" noise, the wheels feel misaligned or you're having trouble staying between the lines, the company says you should bring it to a dealership to have it repaired.
