Jeff & Aimee are tipping their hats to two amazing selfless women!

Both Susan Ellis and Tia Wimbush work at the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Little did the two know that their lives would forever be changed through a life-saving decision.

Ellis's husband, Lance, and Wimbush's husband, Rodney, were both on a kidney transplant list, according to Good Morning America. When the two were talking about their experience Ellis and Wimbush noticed that their blood types matched each other's husbands.

"My thought immediately was that we could help each other and stop the suffering of two families," said Wimbush to "Good Morning America." "I called Rodney immediately and he and I were both just committed to moving forward and trying to help two families."

From there the two women made all the preparations to donate their kidney to one another's husband.

"When you see the finish line, it makes even sweeter," said Susan Ellis to Good Morning America. "At 5:30 a.m., we walked through the hospital doors together."

The surgery was a success! This journey brought both families closer and Ellis and Wimbush call each other "kidney sisters."

"This is the most important and rewarding thing I’ve ever done in my life," saild Ellis. "I didn’t do it for that, but it ended up being that way."
