Fast food restaurants are having a tough time hiring and retaining workers. But one McDonald's in Altamont, Illinois, is sweetening the deal job seekers: they're offering a free iPhone to potential employees.

A guy recently posted to Twitter, "LMFAO G MCDONALDS IS STARVING."

The photo shows that it is offering a free iPhone to new employees that meet the following requirements:

  • You need to be employed for at least 6 months
  • You must meet the "employment criteria"

The flyer also does not state exactly what model of iPhone or condition you will receive if you meet both criteria.

The iPhone in the flyer shows the white front of the iPhone 8. Those models are no longer available as new and would be available as certified refurbished; they currently go for around $200-$300.

According to CBS News, at this owner-operator's McDonald's location, wages start at $13 an hour. The minimum wage in Illinois is $11 per hour.
