Jeff & Aimee LOVE it when our Hats Off story is local!

Las Vegas Raider Jason Witten has partnered with SafeNest and has donated $10,000 to its cause, according to KTNV.

SafeNest is Nevada's largest and most comprehensive nonprofit dedicated to ending domestic violence.

"My mom went through a lot of domestic violence. Fortunately for me and my brothers, our grandparents stepped in," said Witten in an interview with KTNV.

Through Witten's charitable donation SafeNest can bring in male mentors in hopes that kids can better understand that domestic violence doesn't have to be in their future.

"My grandfather was that mental mentor in my life. He showed me what a man looked like," said Witten. "And he walked the walk. He didn't just talk the talk."
