Teachers are heroes to our kids and our family!
Michigan teacher Julia Koch was teaching her first-grade class virtually when one of her students was experiencing technical difficulties, according to News 8.
“Her student’s device was not charging,” said Koch in a News 8 interview.
Not knowing what was the issue Koch asked her student to call over her grandmother so they could fix the issue.
“When she started speaking, I could tell that there was something wrong. I wasn’t sure what was wrong, but there was something wrong,” said Koch.
That's when the school staff called 911 immediately to help grandmother Cynthia Phillips, who was actually suffering a stroke.
“Thank you for saving my life,” said Phillips about the school staff. “If it wasn’t for them getting me the help, I needed I would’ve just not been here.”
Phillips is recovering from the medical episode and is already walking again, according to MSN.
Jeff & Aimee tip their hats to Julia Koch for her swift actions!
