Some people play video games to relax and others are actually using it to help veterans get into civilian life.
Army Veteran Christopher Boehm is using his gaming YouTube gaming account, Bayonet X-ray, with one goal in mind. To help veterans dealing with PTSD transition into life after the military.
The idea came after Boehm heard the news that the Army uses Twitch for recruitment services. Boehm knew he could do the same by connecting with other veterans online who are dealing with PTSD after leaving the military.
"Bayonet X-ray is a Youtube Channel designed with Veterans in mind; yet, open to anyone experiencing trauma," reads the Bayonet X-ray's about page. "We are up at sunrise, listening for 22 minutes, signifying the troubling suicide rate of 22 a day."
Through his daily live streams on YouTube, Boehm gives advice on combating PTSD with diet, exercise, daily motivation and tips to live an overall healthier lifestyle.
