The Animal Foundation Receives $1.2 Million Grant From The Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation

Local nonprofit The Animal Foundation has received a $1,225,000 grant from the Dave & Cheryl Duffield Foundation.

The grant will be used to support its Maddie's Pet Project of Nevada campaign. The campaign seeks to increase adoptions through partnerships, improve veterinary access in underserved areas and create a safety net for animals.

Overall, this grant will also hone in on four points: spay/neuter larger dogs in at-risk areas, increase adoption events throughout the valley, transportation for high-risk animals and accessibility to lifesaving care for cats.

In 2015, The Animal Foundation announced one of its goals was to save all healthy and treatable animals that came into its shelter by 2020.
