There's been a lot of talk leading into the 2019 CMA Awards that co-host of the show this year Carrie Underwood should take home the night's top honor of Entertainer of the Year.

Miranda Lambert socialized out a few weeks back that she feels that Carrie should win the big prize and Underwood has been on a massive tour of the U.S. and Europe with her "Cry Pretty Tour." So what does Carrie herself think of the possibility of taking home Entertainer this year?

She said yesterday afternoon (10/21), "I personally feel like [the] Entertainer [of the Year]. It's everything, right? So I feel like people kind of narrow it down to two tours, but I feel like there's so many more components to it. And, you know, I'm blessed and lucky to be nominated, obviously, and fantastic company. But I mean, I don't know."

She continued, "It would be amazing. It doesn't... It's not the end all be all. But of course, I'd be lying if I said I didn't want it."

Underwood will co-host the CMA Awards on November 13th live from Nashville along with Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire.

Nancy Brooks has been working in the country music industry for almost 30 years. She has interviewed pretty much any country star you can think of. In the late 1990s, she started working with Dolly Parton. And yes, Nancy reports that Parton is as sweet as you would think. She loves her life in country music and has been backstage at every CMA Awards show since the late 1990s. Many of her stories are from her one-on-one interviews. She was there at the beginning of the incredible careers of many music superstars today, including Taylor Swift, Shania Twain, and Blake Shelton, and has interviewed them multiple times throughout the years.
