The performance of the night at the 2019 CMT Awards was when Tanya Tucker came out with Brandi Carlile to sing her 1970's mega-hit "Delta Dawn."

Trisha Yearwood, Martina McBride, Deana Carter, Lauren Alaina, Raelyn and Carly Pearce joined them; Shooter Jennings (son of Waylon) played piano in the band. The performance got a standing ovation.

Before the performance, Karen Fairchild and Kimberly Schlapman from Little Big Town talked about women in country music with Karen asking "What do we need to do to get some airplay here?" "We need a Mullet," responded Kimberly. To which Karen shared, "Jimi used to have a mullet."

Brandi Carlile and Shooter Jennings just produced Tanya's first record in 17 years called While I'm Living.

After the performance, Brandi said, "The legend that is Tanya Tucker!"
