Law enforcement agencies throughout Nevada are teaming up to take the Olympic torch to Reno. This afternoon, Officers alongside Special Olympics athletes will run the "Flame Of Hope" through Las Vegas.

A police escort will guide the runners as they run from the Hoover Dam through Henderson in route to the under-construction Raiders stadium.  After a special event at the construction site Friday at noon,  the torch will depart on Russell Road, go up Las Vegas Boulevard in route to Nellis Air Force Base.

The day ends with the North Las Vegas Police Department and city leaders representing a proclamation to honor Special Olympics and the torch run.
