TV's This Is Us star Chrissy Metz will make her ACM Awards debut on Sunday night (4/7), performing a song with Carrie Underwood and several other female country stars.

Nashville's Tennessean newspaper reports that Metz will perform "I'm Standing With You" during the live ACM Awards broadcast on Sunday alongside Underwood, Maddie & Tae and Mickey Guyton.

Metz sung a bit as part of her role as Kate Pearson on This Is Us, but she tells The Tennessean it's difficult to get people who are used to seeing a performer in one light to give them a chance in another arena.

"As an actress, you’re not always taken seriously as a singer,” she reflects. “You can’t always cross over, whether it’s drama to comedy or an actress to [be a] musician. I can’t even believe it’s happening. I really, really can’t. It’s been a gift on top of a gift.”

Chrissy Metz makes her starring feature film debut in the upcoming film Breakthrough, which is set for release on April 17.

The film allowed to her to fulfill a long-held dream when she recorded a song titled "I'm Standing With You" for the soundtrack, which also features songs from Underwood, Lauren Alaina, Mickey Guyton, Darius Rucker, Maddie & Tae and more.
