Miranda Lambert's new hubby is getting a lot of unwanted attention at work on the streets of Times Square in New York City, so his superiors have reassigned him to a patrol car.

According to TMZ, Brendan McLoughlin, who normally patrols Times Square on foot, has been temporarily reassigned to a more covert position because the media has been hounding him in public while he's clocked in.

What triggered the new assignment is that on Monday morning, a major TV News outlet showed up on the front steps of the NYPD's Midtown South Precinct office asking to speak with Brendan. The reporter was quickly turned away.

Word is that Brendan's new assignment involved driving his superiors around for a few weeks while things die down.

Lambert announced that they were married via a surprise Instagram post over the weekend. According to sources, the newlyweds plan to live both in New York City and Nashville for the time being.
