Photo Of Carrie Underwood Surfaces Online Weeks After Getting Stitches

Earlier today, we reported that Carrie Underwood issued a letter to her fans telling them that she received between 40 to 50 stitches in her face after a fall outside her home.

As you may recall, the same fall left her with a broken wrist that required surgery.

In her letter to her fan club, Underwood stated that when she is ready to go back in front of a camera, she may look a bit different.

While she assured her fans she was being cared for by the best medical team, she also seemed to be preparing them for her change in appearance.

As with any injury or wound, people can be self-conscious during the healing process, but we happen to think Carrie looks just as beautiful as ever in this photo.

While her face is angled slightly, it's possible that the injury occurred on the less-visible side of her face or perhaps on her forehead.
