Shortly after Garth Brooks performed on stage during the CMA Awards, fans took to Twitter to suggest he had lip-synced the performance.

Leading up to the CMA Awards, Brooks was understandably having issues with his voice. While he tried to rest up for the performance, he made a last minute judgment call to lip-sync while performing "Ask Me How I Know."

During an interview after the show, the country legend explained that he and his crew are in the middle of performing 12 shows in 10 days. Obviously, a schedule like that is bound to contribute to added strain on Garth's vocal cords.

Therefore, he wanted to save and rest his voice for his live shows, rather than risk losing his voice altogether.
