A Ferris wheel at a carnival in Greensboro, North Carolina malfunctioned last Friday. And one of the Ferris wheel cars tipped over, so it was hanging sideways . . . with two little KIDS inside. A 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old boy had to hang on so they didn't fall out. It looks like they were about 20 feet off the ground. So they could have been seriously injured. And one of them kept yelling that he didn't want to DIE. So a 25-year-old carnival worker named Albert Irwin started CLIMBING the Ferris wheel to save them. When he got to them, he tried to keep them calm, and managed to free their gondola. So it swung back into position. But right when it happened, he lost his footing and HE fell. He landed on one of the other cars below him and bounced off. Then he tried to grab the side of the Ferris wheel on the way down, but couldn't hang on. So he hit the ground pretty hard. But thankfully, he only broke his finger. And everyone else was okay.
