Tonight, Chris Young performed at the Opry, and was surprised when Vince Gill announced that he was the newest member of the Grand Ole Opry.
It took a moment for Young to process the unexpected information, but after it sunk in, Young approached Gill to give him a hug, before picking him up.
Next, Chris kissed the Opry circle and accepted the invitation.
The induction ceremony will be held later this year.
Big congrats to Chris Young. Apart from being an exceptional country music singer, he's one of the nicest guys you will ever come across. His induction into the Opry is well-deserved!
