The reigning ACM Entertainer of the Year delivered his second annual Concert for the Kids with help from Luke Combs, raising $702,209 for Macon, GA's Beverly Knight Olson Children's Hospital/Navicent Health in the process. Taken with last year's total, Jason has raised $1.2 million for the facility.
"Macon will always be my roots," the "Lights Come On" singer says through his publicist. "When I moved away to chase music, all I wanted to do was make my family and hometown proud. But, I'm just a singer. I'm honored to be able to do do what I do to help raise money, but the doctors and staff are the heroes and are changing these kids lives."
Hospital reps chimed in, too. "Jason is a hometown hero who is truly giving back to our young patients and their families," Navicent Health's Ninfa M. Saunders says. "We are most appreciative of his commitment to their healing and care.'
Jason's tour picks back up Thursday (8/17) in Jacksonville, FL. Subsequent stops are scheduled for Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia and North Carolina. See a complete list of dates and buy tickets here.
