Luke Bryan’s Career Advice For Craig Campbell

Craig Campbell is on the road with Luke Bryan these days as part of the Huntin', Fishin' And Lovin' Every Day Tour. That's a pretty big deal, but it's not new for the "Keep Them Kisses Comin'" singer. Craig played piano in Luke's band earlier in his career. Craig recently spoke to the Associated Press about the experience, sharing some career advice Luke gave him in the process.

The insight came during a late-night hang at some point. "I said, 'Do you have any advice for me that could help me get a little big further down the road in this music business?' And he said, 'Are you writing songs?'" Craig notes in the AP's backstage video. "I said, 'I do what I know; I'm not a great songwriter.' And he said, 'Man, I'm not telling you this is the way to go, but songwriting opened up so many doors for me. So when you get back to Nashville you need to write songs every day.'"

The interview touched on the stars' affinity for the outdoors, too, and Craig is hoping to get in some fishing with Luke at some point. "We've never hunted together, nor have we fished together," Craig explains. "But I'm hoping we'll be able to get together at some point throughout this tour."
