There's only one female inside the country Top 20 right now and she's brand new to the experience.

Carly Pearce recently accomplished the feat with "Every Little Thing" and it's been a long time coming. "I've never known a day where I didn’t want to be a musician," she tells People. "I'm 27 and I would say, 22 of my years of my life have been focused on what my career could be like and if this would ever happen."

She's not the only one who's been focused on her dream. Her parents actually allowed her to quit school at 16 and moved the entire family to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee so she could sing at Dollywood. "I sang in the country show called Country Crossroads," she tells the publication. "We did six shows a day, five days a week – I really did work '9 to 5' for [Dolly]."

That's only part of the story, though, and the rest is worth reading here. In the meantime, the Indiana native just released the video for the song.

"Every Little Thing"

Seizing the momentum created with "Every Little Thing," Carly is working the road hard these days. Michigan, California, Iowa, Georgia and Colorado are all on the books in the coming weeks. See a complete list of dates here.
