Dolly Parton is no stranger to awards, so it probably shouldn't come as a surprise that her biographical made-for-TV movie Christmas Of Many Colors: Circle Of Love has been nominated for an Emmy. The movie, which stars Jennifer Nettles and Ricky Schroder, aired on NBC and is nominated in the Television Movie category.

"I am so very proud and excited [it's been] nominated for an Emmy award," Dolly says through her publicist. "Special thanks to my partner and executive producer Sam Haskell, a wonderful cast and crew, Steve Herek (our producer) and Pamela Long for a great script. And a special thanks to all of the many fans that watched it."

Jennifer Nettles, who plays Dolly's mother in the movie, is pretty excited herself. "This project for me was a celebration of the family and the beautiful story of Miss Dolly Parton," she says. "Each day I played Avie Lee Parton was a joy."

The 69th Annual Emmy Awards will air live from Los Angeles September 17th on CBS. Stephen Colbert hosts.
