The "Black" singer has playfully been duping fans as part of the Bolo Boys Bluegrass Band ahead of a recent What The Hell World Tour stops. The official openers are Cole Swindell and Jon Pardi, of course, but the earliest fan arrivals are sometimes being treated to bluegrass tunes from a five-piece ensemble including an incognito Dierks Bentley.
Sightings have been reported in both Pennsylvania and Florida so far, the former of which was recently described in Rolling Stone Country. "To those in the lawn seats, the Bolo Boys look like a nondescript group of string players," the story reads. "But keen-eyed fans in the first few rows may recognize the guitar player in the big hat and sunglasses as Bentley himself." See if you can spot him in a fan-posted Facebook video below.
Catch Dierks – and quite possibly the Bolo Boys Bluegrass Band – on his What The Hell World Tour in New York, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Florida and Virginia in the coming weeks. See a complete list of upcoming dates here.
